This class was created by Michael Chu and V. Kasturi Rangan. First taught as a second-year elective for MBA students at HBS in 2007, it has traditionally covered topics in marketing and social finance. Shawn Cole started teaching the class in 2011.

There is no casebook for the class, but all the cases used to teach this course are made available by HBS Publishing.
